NO parent should call me : Ajayi Crowther University VC Blast Parents And Students In Open Letter

Dear Parents, Greetings.
I must express my shock at the behavior of some parents and their messages against the VC and the University in recent times. It is not common for VCs to exchange words with parents or students over matters of University rules, discipline and morals. I’m not sure you individual parents interacted with your VCs where you studied. My simplicity and availability has been abused and that has to be withdrawn forthwith.  You sent your children to Ajayi Crowther University believing that they will get good education and sound morals. The discipline here is no where near that of some sister Christian Universities which are over subscribed. The developments going on here academically, spiritually and infrastructure-wise has been much improved and works are ongoing to make things better. Students ought to have some endurance and not be spoilt with claims and rights that shouldn’t be fought over. *What happened recently?* 1. ACU would have resumed for second semester on…

dem go flog dem go tire’ video : shocking, messy side-Yes, I wanted N1m compensation – Stephanie, lady who made recording -

The Success Adegor (the 7-year-old girl in the ‘dem go flog dem go tire’ video) story has become a controversy as Stephanie Idolor (lady who recorded the 28 seconds video) was accused of demanding monetary compensation from Success’ parents for her efforts.

In a video circulating on the internet, Stephanie is seen saying that though she is not demanding a sharing formula, she wants one million Naira if the Adegor family has realised five million naira.

The demand elicited condemnation from some Nigerians on the social media who labelled her action as greed taken too far.

But what actually happened?

A source close to Stephanie and the Adegos told Sunday Vanguard that the Stephanie issue was like the lady trying to squeeze the much she could from the Adegors whom she felt were ignorant. “The first money someone sent to the lady in Asaba that made the video viral, I think her name is Joyce Imofen, N70, 000, and was, in turn, sent to Stephanie, did not get to the Adegor family. Though th…

El-Rufai vs Christians: Pastor Okafor warns Kaduna Gov to reverse the Bill, gives him 7 days Source:- Daily Post Nigeria March 26, 2019

The founder of Liberation City, Pastor Chris Okafor, has warned Kaduna State Governor to avoid persecuting Christians and preachers in the state or risk the wrath of God. The preacher gave El-Rufai seven days to reverse bill at the state House of Assembly to license religious bodies or would be visited by God. The bill proposes that any person found guilty of preaching without a valid licence and other offences under the law “shall be liable to two years in prison or pay a fine of N200, 000.” Under this new edict, the government seeks to create an inter-faith Ministerial Committee to be appointed by the governor which will exercise control over Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, and the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. The bill ensures that the ministerial committee shall issue licenses to religious bodies without which the body cannot preach.
It also stipulates that no external preacher can preach in Kaduna without a permit. Speaking on the development, the cleric in a video shared o…

WHY PDP LOST PLATEAU IN 2019 (content by Rwang Patrick Stephen)

Election is the core of Democracy. For a candidate to win, he must be voted by the people. Rigging, rancor and violence are part of the core features of politics in Africa.
On the Plateau, the incumbent governor defeated his opponent better this year than he did to the PDP candidate in 2015.
The APC won with 4,466 votes more and above   the difference between 2015 and 2019 votes.
In 2019, difference between the parties is 48,752 while in 2015 the difference between APC and PDP in favor of Lalong was 44,286 votes respectively.
Hence, the APC made an upward progression in votes addition of 4,466 in 2019. This means that the APC became stronger on the Plateau than it was in 2015.

1.  Multiple opposition candidates. Like in Oyo state for example, Seyi Makinde won because the opposition party aligned themselves against the incumbent. They pulled their strenuous strengths together and polled more votes than the APC in the state. The Oyo …

TEXT:  MARK 1:1-12

1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

Abuja: One night stand and the cost! What of HIV infection?

Pretty like the mermaid, she stood there, occasionally pacing from one end of the road to another. She wore a dress that suited the moment and the business- a short gown that stopped far above her knee cap. Her lips were heavily painted in red to complement the attraction. It may take the combination of a very strong- willed, spirit-filled mind and long cultivated discipline for any man’s eyes to shift the other way. That was Anthonia, a commercial sex worker who had taken her business to the streets of Abuja. She was standing, waiting for a customer when this undercover reporter arrived the scene that Monday night. For some five minutes, the reporter sat back in his car, observing the scene and pondering on the best way to engage her. But then, a look around the vicinity revealed other “mermaids” who come out only at night. They littered the area. It didn’t matter if it was night. To them, the street lights, which shone on them, apparently added colour to the scene. Alighting from t…
