1. *THE CONFIRMATION OF PASSIONATE* *COMPASSION FOR THE SONS OF GOD* :
Mal1:1,2 describes the confirmation of love for Jacob. Verses 3 & 4 explain God's less (limited) love for Esau. The hatred used in context is not hatred of bitterness or antagonism but of comparison.
Confirmation Of Love For Jacob:
Turning away from sin and evil is the key to genuine salvation 2Cor6:17. You must totally reject the works of darkness when you become born again Deu7:3-9; Eph5:25.
Consideration Of Less Love For Esau Mt5:45; Heb12:14-17. Esau was hated because he never followed peace with any man and holiness to the Lord. The root of bitterness was in him, hence he couldn't enjoy the fullness of God's blessings Obad v.6,7,10.
Commendation Of The Limitlessness Of God - Mal1:5. Our God is unlimited; His limitless blessings will be upon your life this year. Deu11:7; Lk10:23,24. Nothing shall by any means hurt you Lk10:19.
2. *THE CONDEMNATION OF POLLUTED* *CONTEMPTIBLE* *SACRIFICES FOR GOD* :
Mal1:6-8. Many misinterpret, misconstrue and misplace God's love by taking Him for granted. They'd like to obtain permission to sin, something the Lord never approves of. If He were God where is His honour?
God is Father - He demands Relationship from His sons (children)
God is Master - He demands Responsibility from His servants Jn13:13; Eph6:6-9
God is Governor - He demands Royalty from His subjects Ps22:1,7,8,15,16,27,28.
Mal1:6-8. God has given us the best already - Jesus Christ, salvation, daily grace and Heaven at last. Giving God leftovers or halfhearted service is unacceptable unto Him. He's calling us to examine our service, sacrifice and offering before Him. Deu15:21; 1Sam2:17; Eze22:26,27; Mal1:10,12,13; Hos8:8. Have you given your best unto Him?
3 . *CONSECRATION OF PURE COMMENDABLE SERVICE UNTO GOD* :
This year is of great consecration, conviction and commitment to God Mal1:11. Be conscious of what you're offering in His presence as being the very best and purest of sacrifices, as a polluted offering attracts divine judgment Mal1:14. Never count the service of God unimportant.
Our God is a great King and He deserves the best. If you cannot offer an unacceptable offering to earthly powers, how much more God? Lev21:17,21-23. If there's no transparent honesty in our lives, we should not attempt to offer anything before Him Lev22:20,21. When you don't respect God and His altar, your life becomes unacceptable and ungodly before Him Eph5:25-27. Your family life affects your ministry; passing the interview does not translate to divine approval of your ministry. Be part of that glorious Church Phi2:14-16; 1The5:22-24.
