5The engine of a giant ship failed to start. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars."What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."The man sent a bill that read:Tapping with a hammer $ 2.00

#Charcoal is one of the most disregarded products at home. We only see the need for it when it is time to set fire for Banku.
However, if you really need first aid, charcoal is something you need to have on you all the time, you might not know this but it is one of the most medicinal products you can have at home due to its poison extraction ability.
In case you never gave it much attention, this is the time to do so. Here are *14 benefits* of charcoal you never thought about.1. *Odour Prevention*
Does your shoe smell bad? just get some charcoal and put it in them. Do you have any bad smell in your room? Drop some charcoal where you suspect the smell could be coming from. Does your fridge or freezer smell? Put a piece of charcoal in it. Do you have strong body odour? Just make a powder out of charcoal and use, thank us later.
Charcoal is very good at getting rid of bad smell. Ever wondered why your parents always scooped out the ash from the coal pot to pour in the hen coop or toilet…

Topic: Our Supernatural Expansion From His Word Beginning Job 8:7,42:5,6,10,8.

Deeper Life Bible Church Worldwide
Tuesday's Leadership Development Message. 27/6/017
Ministered By: Pastor W.F. Kumuyi
Topic: Our Supernatural Expansion From His Word Beginning
Job 8:7,42:5,6,10,8.
Job Life beginning was fall, yet, his latter end was greatly increased.  We are looking at this for the church, leader, local Church. even though we are small, our latter end is going to increase. Job was a true believer, and God testified of him, he was blessed and multiplied. he was perfect and he refused evil. there was no perfect man like Job and yet he suffered, we found accident in the life of Job. accident are not necessarily punishment, Job has not done evil, but Satan was behind his accident. it was not God that punished him. he reduced to the zero level, but he Rose up to the zenith level. if you're small today, you're going to be significant tomorrow
as we look at Job, God said that he was perfect. but he lost everything and despite that, he didn't go into sin of…

#endVAC : Abandoned 10-yrs old pupil breaks down after ridicule from schoolmates…I left him for spiritual reason, says father

Ten years of life without knowing his father has affected the emotional state of Isaac Oghenekewe, a primary four pupil of Best Brains Nursery and Primary School, Ede, Osun State. It was learnt that Isaac usually burst into tears whenever his school friends basked in their fathers’ attention, especially on their birthdays. On some occasions, the friends reportedly teased him that his father was not responsible. The school said the ridicule had taken its toll on his learning, adding that efforts to address his poor academic performance had been in vain.Isaac, who lives with his mother and grandmother, told PUNCH Metro that he longed to see his father. He said, “I don’t know my father; I want to see him. My friends in school ask me where my father is; I tell them he doesn’t live with us. They say my father has never come to pay my school fees or take me to school. They laugh at me, which makes me cry. I want to know my daddy.”Our correspondent learnt that Isaac’s mother, Omolewa Ashiru, and…

#Recession: 38 universities across the country increased tuition fees as a result of poor funding by the Federal and State governments.

No fewer than 38 universities across the country have increased their tuition fees as a result of poor funding by the Federal and State governments. The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan Chapter, Dr Deji Omole, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday. The statement which assessed the two years of President Muhammadu Buhari in office, lamented that the current government had made Nigerians poorer.Omole said that the public education was not taken seriously because most children of the rich and those in high offices do not attend school in Nigeria.“The latest increment might be attributed to poor funding by the federal and state governments as ASUU poorly rated the President Muhammadu Buhari in the area of funding of university education.ASUU also noted that it would be difficult for any Nigeria university to effectively compete globally with the inadequate allocation of budgetary funding as prescribed by…

How to prevent respiratory tract infection (cold)

I once granted an interview to a correspondent of Radio Nigeria, Ibadan, on the effects of the rainy season. I emphasised on cold as one of the effects of harmattan or rainy season but after the interview, the world common cold keep ringing in my ears.Common cold is common and it occurs throughout the years even though there are increased cases during harmattan and rainy season due to the harsh weather. It is the most frequently occurring illness all over the world, and it is a leading cause of visits to doctors and missed days from school and work.It is a self-limited contagious illness that can be caused by a number of different types of viruses.Children in preschool and elementary school can have cold monthly while adolescents and adults typically have two to four colds per year.Flu has been used  interchangeably with the common cold but they are not the same thing. The ‘flu’, which is also known as influenza, is caused by a different virus (influenza A or B). Influenza is much more…

Be An Intercessor* *TEXT*: AMOS 7:1-6 Sun, 25 Jun, 2017

*Key Verse*: “And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small” (Amos 7:2)We are often consumed by our own needs and desires that we shut our eyes to the experiences of people around us. Yet, were we to pause and ponder over their situation, we would realize that compared to them, what we consider our giant problem quickly pale into insignificance. We are thus, compelled by those dire circumstances to intervene on their behalf. Such is the responsibility every believer should assume, as intercessors. The Lord had twice shown Amos a vision of the impending judgment against Israel. He showed him two images here, one, of insects and two, of fire. These were pictures of ordinary things that were familiar to the Israelites and therefore, needed very little elaboration. The message should be plain enough to the general public and easy for them to understand and as…

SHE'S SUCH A SMART WIFEThis morning, she and her husband had a really bad argument. He came home after work still mad at her, why is she is so difficult to be with sometimes? He walked in the house, ready for another fight....He walked in and found her cooking his favourte meal: chapati with beef stew. Worship music was playing in the house..."Hi honey"  she greeted him..."Hi" he said back...He leaned on the kitchen wall expecting the argument to continue, she is a woman who speaks her mind...But instead, she sang along to the worship song playing as she cooked..."You had a good day?" She asked as she added oil in the pan... "Why do you do this?" He asked..."Do what?" She asked smiling...He stared at her saying, "You make it so hard to stay mad at you"..."It's not me, it's God" she answered..."That explains the worship music. You surround the house with worship" he said...She fed him a portion o…

#endVAC Q&A:How can VAC be prevented?

Q: How can violence against children be prevented?A: There are two distinct types of violence experienced by children (defined by the United Nations as anyone aged 0-18 years) - child maltreatment by parents and caregivers in children aged 0-14, and violence occurring in community settings among adolescents aged 15-18 years. These different types of violence can be prevented by addressing the underlying causes and risk factors specific to each type.Child maltreatment by parents and caregivers can be prevented by:reducing unintended pregnancies;
reducing harmful levels of alcohol and illicit drug use during pregnancy;reducing harmful levels of alcohol and illicit drug use by new parents;improving access to high quality pre- and post-natal services;providing home visitation services by professional nurses and social workers to families where children are at high-risk of maltreatment;providing training for parents on child development, non-violent discipline and problem-solving skills.Vi…

20 June

But they never lose their dreams for their children or their desire to better our world. They ask for little in return – only our support in their time of greatest need" — UN Secretary-General, AntĂłnio Guterres

In a world where violence forces thousands of families to flee for their lives each day, the time is now to show that the global public stands with refugees. To do this, the UN Refugee Agency launched the #WithRefugees petition in June 2016 to send a message to governments that they must work together and do their fair share for refugees. On World Refugee Day, held every year on June 20th, we commemorate the strength, courage and perseverance of millions of refugees. This year, World Refugee Day also marks a key moment for the public to show support for families forced to flee.
